Adore
The name of this piece just sums it all up--I adore it! From the little beaded detail around the perimeter,to the vintage lock and key, to the orb knobs that took me forever to find.
My struggle with this piece was so different from others I've worked on in that it was in such good shape, I couldn't decide whether or not to line the drawers. As I was prepping to line them by cleaning them with wood cleaner, my husband walked by and stopped to admire how good the drawers looked. He was so impressed, thinking I had improved their appearance somehow that I was tempted to take credit for it. Alas, it wasn't me at all, but it did result in my decision to leave them "au naturel." I do really like the contrast between the natural wood and the blue.
A note on the knobs: these knobs conjure up images of the Department of Mysteries and Professor Trelawney's classroom. Maybe if I stare at them long enough, I'll witness some amazing prophecy :-)
This piece is beautiful!! I LOVE the color, perfect! I wish I lived close enough to buy!
