Envy

I had hoped to have this green machine ready by St. Patrick's Day, but the weather didn't cooperate. Instead of "Lady Luck," her originally-intended name, I went with "Envy" because I know I'll be jealous of whoever ends up with her.

This piece was so fun to work with. I knew I wanted to do green and finally found the shade that was in my mind (sounds weird, but that's how I work). The detail on the drawers actually mimics the design of the drawer liner, though it's hard to appreciate it from the photos.

And talk about versatility. The cupboards are actually inverted, but can be switched back for a more ornate look (there is a lot of detail on the original side). The back panel can be added for extra embellishment or removed for a more toned-down effect. Basically, she can be dressed up or down--who knew a sideboard could be so fun?!

  1. That looks amazing! I don't know if I'm that daring with color- but it definitely makes me want to try something bold like that! I LOVE the drawer liners, it just completes the look. I'm also envious of whomever buys it!
