I've been out west for about a month. I must admit I've been missing my painting projects and am looking forward to finishing up a piece I left hangin' when I left town.
Always on the lookout for inspiration, especially when it comes to color, I took some pictures of things saturated in color. I'm reminded how glad I am that I'm not a bird--the guys are the lookers in that kingdom. How sad would it be to see the color of a male peacock and then remember you're just plain and brown. You might notice, however, how vain the male peacock is--see how he's checking himself out in the reflection of the window? I should add a disclaimer that I'm using my parents' computer, which lacks the appropriate editing software, so these images are not quite what I had hoped.
I'll be back soon with some more furniture posts. Stay tuned!
By the way, I'm gauging interest in a class to be held this fall (hopefully) on Basics of Refinishing. Not sure of the cost yet, but please feel free to leave a comment if you'd be interested.
I would be interested in a class. Online or in person?
ReplyDeleteHi Ms. "S". The class would be in person at my home in Liverpool. I'm aiming for a Saturday morning in October--trying to beat the cold weather.
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing with color, Darice - I keep photos or scans of various color inspirations on my computer and am always updating it. Oh, and consider this my 10th RSVP for your class!! :)
