Summer Reading
Summers during high school for me were never just "me time." Ever-present and hanging over my head every trip to the movies, mall, or beach were the dreaded summer reading assignments. These I would "save" (creative term for "procrastinate") for our annual trip to Lake Powell at the end of August, where there was really nothing to do but waterski, eat, nap, and read 3-4 large novels and write a paper on each. Those 20 hours spent to and from the lake in our 15-passenger van, filled to capacity, pulling a
boat full of stuff for 15+ people for 2 weeks were essential to me getting my assignments completed. Weird...I never thought I'd miss those long drives where I could sit and read (missing Lake Powell is a no-brainer). Now I find myself hiding throughout my house from my children so I can feast on the eye candy of the above books. What's on your summer reading list?
I thought Domino was discontinued?? Did they start it back up again? Oooo I hope so!! That'll make my summer reading list for sure.
