Dynamic Duo

When I was younger, aside from hating the color pink because it was "a pig's color," I also detested the pairing of turquoise and red. I remember when a play-date extended into a sleepover and my dad dropped off some clothes for me that he had picked out himself, I cried to see a turquoise shirt and red shorts. Now these tears were not out of anger or frustration, but out of embarrassment--and not for me, who had to wear such an ensemble, but for my sweet dad who had committed an atrocious fashion faux-paw unknowingly. How he would feel if he knew his mistake--that is what brought tears to my eyes. Yes, this is dramatic, but so was I at age 6!

Now I have seen the error of my ways. And, first with Zulie, and now with this darling dresser, I embrace this color scheme and dub it "the dynamic duo." I'm sure it won't be the last time you see it (especially because of the frequency of requests I get to offer pieces with this color combo).
