The detail atop this chest of drawers was a first for me. I really wanted to experiment with a decal of some sort. It was trickier than I thought it would be, but I love the end result.
Although I prefer my pieces to have color, I thought the simple black-and-white motif worked to enhance the dresser's beautiful shape, rather than competing with it. When shooting the pictures, I added this cute little black bird. He looked so content on that branch and I love him looking at his reflection in the mirror. Rather vain bird come to think of it.
