Rosemary

I have a garden, and though it's not much to brag about, I do love the fact that I have one.  If the slugs and snails are slower than I am (this year, they are winning!), we usually look forward to a decent crop of tomatoes, jalepenos, and...more tomatoes.  Although we usually let a few tomatoes go uneaten (for shame!), the things that really earn their keep are my herbs.  They last far into the winter, which is saying something for central NY, and I can use them for grilling in the summer and soups in cool weather.  I love using rosemary and it's so easy to get my kids to go fetch me some, "just get me a sprig of the stuff that looks almost like a Christmas tree"--works every time.

This piece reminded me of rosemary with it's natural woody top mixed with the earthy green.  It was fun to find these knobs that really pulled the look together.  If only I could "tint" the paint with the smell of rosemary, now that would be amazing!
